I encourage all of you to join this great team of Advocates who are going to shed light on the way the court system works. Court Watch of Central Virginia will bring transparency and accountability to such things as sentencing plea agreements, public defender caseloads, bond amounts, and the disproportionate amount of poor people and people of color who feed the system of Mass Incarceration!
We want Community Members to take ownership of this initiative, which will address this vicious cycle of incarceration, recidivism, and injustice!
